Day 18, Air Cell Too Small - HELP!

I'm worried that's how it's gonna end for me as well. I've been watching some videos on assisted hatch to prepare.

It's now nearing the end of day 21 and I made the hard decision of choosing to candle. I got pictures of both sides (side marked o in first pic and side marked x in second pic). O side looks less full than the x side, the air cell is more pronounced and there are orangish parts where you can see through near the edge and somewhat in the middle. The x side is completely dark besides the air cell. The egg has been laying on the o side in a slightly upright position to prevent fluids going into the air cell once the chick internally pips. It was put back into this same position it's been in for the last three days after this candling. There is no internal pip by the looks of it and definitely no chirping. No cracks in the shell and the egg is clean and free of an odor. Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

(OH and temp has been kept at 37-37.5 celsius throughout incubation, forgot to include this before. The humidity has been higher these last three days (75%) for lockdown.)
37c is too low so your hatch will take longer. And I’m worried with you using c you are incubating with one of those China ones. An hhd?

Yes, an HHD.

I have two other calibrated thermometers in there and calibrated the temperature display on the incubator as well before any incubation. Should I bring up the temperature to 37.5-38c?

(As for future hatches as this was my first ever, should I be looking to replace this incubator?)

so did my very first hatch with an hhd that held 24 eggs. The first was my last. I lost so much sleep because it was always something with that incubator. I bought a nurture right 360. First hatch in it was so stress free. All hatched by the fifteenth hour of day 21. It took 28 hours for 16 eggs to hatch. In the next couple of days I’m setting turkey and possibly peacock eggs. That is a new world for me. With the hhd I found if you set the temp to 37.4 it will fluctuate between 37.4 and .5. If you set it to 37.5 it will fluctuate mostly in the 37.6 to 37.8 range. If yours does the same I’d have it set to 37.3 or .4. Lower temp you will have a late hatch. Higher temps you can have lots of different problems at hatch. Personally I will not use the hhd again. My husband said sell it. I told him no. I wouldn’t date put someone else through that.

But I have read others that had great results with the 24. It’s 50/50 on that one. If you have the biggest one 94-96 eggs I’ve heard a lot better results on that one. My breeder likes hers.

Hmm, mine seems to fluctuate between 37-37.5 if I set it to 37.5. I figured that was normal. I’m wishing I’d bought that Octagon 20 now :/

Seems the high humidity and cold temps during incubation are delaying my hatch if anything. Just hoping this little one pips soon.

Are there any problems with the chicks if they hatch late? Also, what was your latest ever hatch? I saw someone on here who had theirs stretch out to day 26 but I’m not too sure.

My latest was with the hhd. Day 22. I still had 10 eggs that were still good. Went to sleep and the machine decided to spike to 113f overnight and killed the rest of my eggs. The ones that hatched late had humidity that was around 65-70 percent and I had to fully assist two of them and had to do a partial assist on one. But I’ve seen people hatch at day 25 and 26 also. My issue was that machine they called an incubator.

OH and for reference here’s the incubator I’m using.
My phone doesn’t want to pull it up. I know it has to be one of the ones on this list.

Ugh that’s awful. One of my good friends had a temp spike in their still air incubator and it cooked all the eggs, frustrating as all hell.

Luckily this HHD has a temperature spike and temperature drop alarm that wakes me up if anything happens. Talk about trying to cover up for bad manufacturing... :he

Yes mine did to. The machine still said it was 37.5C. My inner thermometer said 113f
