Day 18, no pips

Hi , so i have 2 dozen coturnix quail eggs in my brinsea maxi 24 advance, humidity is 65% and temp is 100.0 farenheit. Today is day 18, and no pips whatsoever. This may have something to do with it: twice at night the temp dropped down 93.7 degrees farenheit, about day 9 and 11, but i have candled them since then and they are still growing and developing. Any ideas?

Miscalculated the start date? or your temp is not what it appears to be...do you have an independant thermometer in the bator or are you depending on the bators sensor?

I am depending on what it says on the screen. I have hatched at least a hundred quail out of that bator, and always done the same thing Oh , gosh. I just looked at the calendar... You are right about me miscalculating the date. Today is day 17! Thank you anyway

Also true temp makes a huge difference. My first batch hatched day 18-20, I upped the temp a degree for the second batch and everything hatched day 16/17. I also had a day 12 embryo (developmentally) that was still alive day 19 but obviously didn’t hatch with that first batch. I finally invested in a few extra thermometers for future hatches!
