This is my first Hatch. :) I started with 24 eggs, 2 turned out to be infertile, and 2 never started due to what looked like a bacterial infection inside the egg.. So I have 20 Rode Island reds left :) Now I took them out of the automatic egg turner just now. SO do I still need to turn them by hand? Any suggestions that might be nice to know??

Thanks! :)

On day eighteen you want to stop turning them so the little chicklet inside can get into the right position to hatch

Thanks! Today is day 18. I am so glad I do not have to turn them by hand. So is this the stage that they call lockdown?? Trying to learn the chicken lingo.
