ARRRRRRR I can't stand this.

I filled every space I could in the incubator with jars of water to try to make the temp hold between blackouts (about 30-45 min at a time) but we'll see. Houston just isn't set up for temps below 20 degrees and this could last 3 days.

Sounds really rough. I agree with the blanket idea, maybe put some gallon jugs of hot water around the bator and toss a blanket over the top of it. Opening it will release much needed humidity and may be doing more damamge than temp fluctuations at this point in the incubation process. Very bad timing to have outages..but I'm pulling for ya!!!

Thanks! I'll do that.

Make sure you don't cover the air vents though. Good luck, I saw the rolling blackouts on the news this morning and thought immediately of incubators.

Yeah I am with ya on the worring.
Most of mine started hstching.
Before I left for work 4 hatched, 1 in process of zipping, 2 pipped, and the last shipped egg is not due to hatch til Friday.
As I cannot leave to check on them all I can due is hope they will be ok.
