Is this bad? I have an incubator full of eggs - 36 of them - incubating in a classroom setting and I did not have complete control and access to the eggs like I would have at home. A couple of times the temp spiked - when eggs hatch early, what are the drawbacks? Is this bad? I brought the incubator home yesterday morning and took the eggs off the turner and lined the bator and added extra water to get the humidity up.
Or am I just worrying about nothing?
My son told me last night and again today that he heard a chirp from the incubator - I totally dismissed it but when I came in from the barn 15 minutes ago and checked the temp and humidity, 8 eggs have small pips and I did hear a faint chirp too.
