So everything was going to perfect in my Farm Innovator incubator. I couldn't believe how consistent the temp and humidity levels were keeping. Once in a while a little tweak here and there, but I couldn't be more pleased with my first endeavor.
Day 19 and I went in our spare bathroom to get ready for the lockdown and temps are down to 80!! Everything is still plugged in and my first thought was the incubator failed at these crucial last days. No, we discovered the outlet for just that particulr one in the whole house, 'blew a fuse'! So ironic.
The little incubator is quickly trying to catch up to correct temps, but my question is.....'is all lost'? Has anyone else had this
happen? Anything else I can do besides going forward and see what happens?
Thanks,

Take a deep breath & relax. If you were to loose power, now is better than earlier. At the end of the incubation process chicks produce some heat on their own & are little affected by heat loss. If everything was correct, as you say, they will hatch just fine. Maybe a bit later than they would have, but with no problem.

ok, whew, thanks for those words of encouragement.
I will let you know how it all turns out. We are not back to normal for temps. Humidity a little low.
But, I feel better already by your words.
Thanks,

be careful and double check the temps are actually low. I jsut had the opposite happen, came home and the tmometer said 108. I about freaked. I put my backup thermometer in and it showed the temp was still right where it was supposed to be.

oh wow, I would freak, too, if that happened. Yes, I doulbe checked and it really was that low.
Temps are now quickly back to correct. I just don't know how long they were that low. It happened sometime during the night.
Thanks,
