I have an egg that is on day 19 and has a pip in the shell already. Is that normal? Will it hatch early? Is it ok if it hatches a bit earlier? Not my first hatch btw. Just first hatch to have a pip this early. Also I had an egg hatch this morning, and I was playing some chirping sounds on my phone next to the incubator. When the sounds were playing the day 19 egg was rocking back and forth. Then after the other hatched I turned the sounds off and the day 19 egg had a pip that i noticed about 20-30 mins later.

I've had some over achievers actually hatch on day 19 (it's always just been one out of the entire batch, I wish they wouldn't do that since they have no company until the next hatches). I don't think it's very abnormal to have one pip/hatch early, my early hatchers have always been healthy little buggers so hopefully yours will be too! :)

Ok. Thank you!! Also I have one chick that is still in there, trying to wait for it to dry, but then I saw the pip so I will wait till after that one hatches and dries a bit before I get them both out.

variables affect it, some chicks are just over achievers from inside the egg too, 21 days is the average and just a baseline, if they had higher temps for some reason they will hatch sooner, if they had lower temps they will hatch later.

They will be find in the incubator that yolk keeps em going for 2-3 days, let the hacth be until finished to avoid shrink wrapping the others
