Day 20 and Excited!

How is your humidity? I am finding that if its about 65% or more they hatch out pretty darn well.

Hey! I have been at work, been back and spent about 90 min settling in babies. When I got here, it was so sad. Warm but still damp chicks, since I moisened everything to increase humidity. Most of the chicks have not made it.
However, when I remember that these are the eggs that were essentially useless, and I had nothing to loose, I realize that I have 4 beautiful baby chicks that I would not otherwise have. 4 beautiful resting babies!!! One is dark almost black with a lighter chest (silkie). One is a white silkie. Another is a salmon favorelle baby. The other is a tiny easter egger mix with a very small tail if at all - Olivia's first baby.
I think in the future I shall go back to using the Brinsea 10 incubator. I had better hatches even with manual turning. I will also splurg and get the turner for it soon.
Will try to post pictures tomorrow.
