Day 20 Hatching

hello! First time hatcher! We had one of our chicks hatch last night and woke up to a little chick!!! When looking at the other eggs there doesn't seem to be anything happening yet. Except one looks cracked slightly and had some stuff coming out of a little spot...the stuff is greyish....not sure if the is a failed egg or if we should remove it so it doesn't explode(read about something similar). Thanks for your help!!!

I'd candle it and look for signs of life. Be gentle in case a new chick is trying to find its way out. Good news is that if it has a hole, its unlikely that it will explode. Also, if it stinks, you don't want it in there. You won't have any doubt about stink.

I think the best way is to wait, when first time hatching I thought all of them will be hatching at the same time and they dont

Thanks for your help!! We checked it out quickly and it just turned out to be stuff from the other egg hatching!! So think we're good
