Hi all.. so I. Incubating in a homemade still air incubator.
I have had temps early on at 101 until around day 11/12 I realised it should be 102.
Since then it's been 102 unless I've candled.
On day 18 I saw slight movement b4 lockdown.
Day 20 and still no pips.
I know the '21 days' thing is just a guide line so I know shes still not ready but I hear a lot saying I should her peeping/chirping from inside the egg.. no noise or movement of the external at all.
I know I have to wait it out but I'm getting itchy fingers..
Theres NO WAY I'm opening that box now!!
Do you think the lower temperatures at the beginning have slowed her growth?
The air cell takes up about 35-40% of the egg now.
Thanks for reading x

102 is actually the upper range of acceptable for incubating. 101 would not have been bad.

By day 20 the chick is all in position and absorbing the egg yolk. If they haven't pipped yet I would not worry. They can do that on day 21.
