Day 21 and no chicks??

yes, it was my first hatch. Ignorance is bliss, we made it through with 8 out of 9 eggs hatching. I just marked Indy's head with a purple marker. There was a little one who seemed weak so I put it back in the warm bator for the night. Hopefully, he/she will be fine and strong by morning. All I have to do is put my hand in the brooder and most come running to my fingers. I mixed crumbles with water and mashed up grapes to make a kind of gruel and they like eating it off my fingers.

Good Morning Miss P. My but you have been up awhile now haven't you?

I just got up to get my dh his breakfast and feed the chicks. All are doing well this morning. Indy seems very strong, I sure hope it isn't a roo

I kept one in the bator who seemed a bit weak last night and it was fine this morning. They all ran to my fingers for breakfast. I am so thrilled with this hatch. I hope they all make it. Thanks to everyone who helped me, I felt like I had an entire team of people here in the house guiding me through it.

My son tossed and turned alot last night. I have been up far earlier than the time stamp on that post. LOL I am hoping for a short nap today!

Congats on such a good first hatch. You know,since your temps were on the low side, I think I'd leave that last egg for a few days. My dad always incubates at around 98. He says he has better hatches at that temp,so maybe you are wiser than you know.

I started my first hatch yesterday.....I hope I do as well as you!
I have 18 in my bator....Two of my SLW, 8 silkies and 8 NN for Dipsy....
The count down begins....

thank you midoris, I was going to post some more pics but you know they just run so fast each pic is soooo blurry. So I won't post anymore today. I have put my bator back into it's box and taped it up until next month when I get Speckled Hen's blue orp eggs. I cannot wait and I am ready!!
