Day 21 (chicken eggs) not even any internal pips yet

Not every egg successfully hatches. Sometimes a chick that pips at the wrong end hits a vein or something else doesn't go quite right. Yes they can die from it, and unfortunately when it does there is nothing that will help.

Do you think it hit a vein?

Probably or it was turned wrong and ran out of air or the egg yolk didn’t absorb correctly and it creates a kind of hernia or tear. There’s a lot can go wrong. It’s a real miracle when everything goes right!

Now I’ve got one that pipped wrong end and a droplet of blood poking out 😓 now it’s not wiggling anymore. Did it kill itself?
Most times a pip on the wrong end hatches fine. But it is basically an internal and external pip in one so it can take up to 48 hrs to hatch. Right now it is probably absorbing the yolk and doing things it normally does after an internal pip. If it just looks like a little drop of blood then it should be ok. Now it may have bled more in the shell but give it time to do what it needs to. I have had quite a few hatches and have never seen my eggs wiggle until they were zipping. Not saying they don't I just haven't noticed it. So don't worry too much because you don't see movements.

What happened ?
It was dead. Also a lot of the chicks were dead because I open the eggs on day 25. One formed with its brain out, one was malpositioned, one was shrink wrapped somehow, and the one that was bleeding pipped on a vein and bled to death.. when I opened that egg blood went everywhere.
