day 21 easter egg hatched yolk issue plz HELP

Its chirping abd alert in a cup in my incubator. Its yolk wasnt fully absorbed so zi placed a paper towel arounf it and put it in a cup thid morning its already hatched its chirping i need to know how long to leave it in cupin the incubator. .
Take it out. Of the cup, I mean. :)
Has it absorbed the yolk yet? I'm imagining all this opening and closing of the incubator and shuddering.
Best of luck!

Ik sorry im a litt stressed Im unsure the cup is not see through this morning around 3:30AM I placed it in whatever i could find whenever i noticed the yolk wasnt fully absorbed so I needyto know how long i should let it be in cup for yolk to absorb? Its been 11 hours

I’ve had a few that still had pinky tip sized yolk unabsorbed and it’s been 50/50 on if it gets absorbed. Most of the time those ones shrink some, but mostly just become an “outtie” and then fall off at some point within the next couple of weeks. For future reference though, you should try to not interfere much, usually affects the other chicks that could have hatched perfect, but might have issues due to Humidity and cold air spikes while pip’ing... good luck

I have also had this happen. I personally do what you did! I put a damp paper towel around it, and put it in a cup, then put it in the brooder near the light, not right under it. I just test the warmth of the towel in about a half an hr. to make sure it isn't too hot. I leave the chick alone for half the day, take it out, take a peek to see if the yolk has absorbed. The reason I don't put the chick back in the bator, 2 reasons, one being what Alil said, you will bring the humidity down opening and shutting the bator. Another if, the chick makes it out of the shell with yolk hanging from it, it could snag and break it open, or, if other chicks hatch, they will peck on it. Just check on it in the cup until it looks absorbed, or if it looks like it won't absorb any more, and, again, like Alil said, if it's small, let it alone. Let the chick fluff up dry, so the others won't notice it and peck on it. It will eventually fall off as it grows up. Good luck! :)

Those other chicks won't peck at the yolk, actually. Chicks don't need to eat for 24 hours after hatching because they absorb the yolk. The yolk may fall off, but your chick should have absorbed it.
