Yeah, so it turns out he accidentally got a shipment of alligator eggs instead. -A fairly common mistake. -It happens to the best of us. But I guess he committed to raising them instead of chicks....? -So, all is good. He has about 30 more days to go in the incubator, so no worries.

Im not sure if the adoptive mother is good, she pecks the chick a bit, she eats all the food, and the chick has to ram under her

Has the second chick externally pipped yet? I would hold off on assisting it for a bit longer if it hasn’t as it may still be working on fully absorbing it’s yolk sac
