Hey there! New to hatching. We are now on day 21 with chickens in incubator. Our temp and humidity stayed pretty constant the entire time. We still have no pips. Am i missing something? I cannot hear chirping through the air holes. I see no rocking. Ugh... thoughts?

I was scared to candle at this point... safe to do so if quickly? Humidity stayed right around 60 and temp stayed around 99.6 to 100.5... still air and yes double checked with other gauges to make sure

In a still air you want your temps to be about 101-102, 60% is a bit high but should’t be too detrimental. I would just candle 1 or to and see if they’ve internally piped or for movement they may just be a few days behind with the lower temps. Good luck!

Thank you will do. I was scared i would shrink wrap them. Lol

It definitely won’t the whole “open and you’ll kill them all” thing is more of a myth than anything. I’ve only had 1 shrink wrap and he was pipped at the wrong end I thought he had died the incubator got down to 11% humidity and he needed some help but he’s fine now lol

We candled 2. They are going strong! One is about ready to go i believe. Any day now lol impatient here. Oh my! Yeah im in several groups on fb. Everyone says you will shrink wrap them all if you open during lockdown. So glad yours made it with 11% lol
