Day 21 of Incubating chicken eggs

Hello Everyone, I am on day 21 of incubating 2 chicks hatched already and one died while trying to get out! I really with i knew how to help the poor chick!! But i don't see any moving eggs that are left to hatch. How can i tell if they are still alive? And how long do i give them to hatch?

It depends on how high, and consistent, the temperature was during incubation. My old incubator ran a little low and inconsistent, so I had chicks hatch at day 24 & 25 that were perfectly healthy. My new incubator runs a little higher and is very consistent, so they normally hatch at the end of day 20/early 21. Some people don't go past 22/23 days because they say the chicks tend to be weak, or wouldn't have made it anyways. I've had some of my favorite hens hatch late, so I tend to not give up too early.
