Day 21-Turkey Egg Pipping.. ??

Hi,

I made my own incubator with a foam box. And kept 11 chicken eggs and a turkey egg as my first incubation process. Now it is on 21st day. 7 chicks hatched already and 3 are pipping.

But when I check my eggs today, Turkey egg also broken and pipping.. i can't believe this..

Any suggestions??? How can this happen?? I confused..

The only way a turkey egg would be pipping at 21 days is if it had already been incubating for 6 to 7 days. A higher than normal temperature can cause eggs to hatch early but the temperature needed to get a turkey egg to hatch a week early would be high enough to kill the egg.

Of course there is also the possibility that it isn't a turkey egg. Some people have mistaken over sized chicken eggs for turkey eggs.

Finally that turkey egg hatched... but still I am in confusion. LoL.. this chick is exactly looks like a turkey chick.. I mean the color.. huh.. I will get a photo and post here after a week or two..
