Don't feel bad...I set mine on the 18th and still no pips. Getting impatient. Lol. But, some of the eggs are rocking and I heard scraping noises yesterday. Boy, I hope they pip soon!!!!!

I am more nervous than I thought I would be. This is my second try and I am starting to freak out. I did pretty well until today because I was working and didnthave time to fret but am layed off as of today and all I can do it stare at the bator!!!!! My DH said a watch pot never boils. But I am a newbie to hatching and am freaking because nothing yet no noise no nothing grrrrr....

Lol, me too! I am a stay at home mom, so I am going over there every 5 minutes, waiting on a pip. I have hatched 2 duck eggs successfully, but haven't ever done chicken eggs. The suspense is killing me! Now I am trying to think....did I set them the 18th or the 19th? Shame on me for not remembering and not writing it down. That was really dumb! Oh well, it is what it is, I suppose!

ok nervous nelly as I am I pulled one out to see if I could hear anything and I definitely heard pecking YAHHHHH. so I think I will bump up the humidity a bit was at 65 and see what happens. I have heard many different opinions on humidity some say not to go over 65 some say 75 some say 55 ......yicks who knows but it makes me nervous with so many different opinions.

My humidity is pretty low...around 40. It's considered a 'dry hatch', so we'll see how that goes. I know with the ducks I could only keep the 'bator at about 40-50%, even with sponges and all of that. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
