Hi all it's the morning of day 21 , yesterday I took out a slightly weeping egg
, wasn't a bad smell in the bator it's just I noticed a stain on the egg and the towel
, I've another 16 mixed eggs due tonight , but I think my temps been .5 low all hatch!! Now I'm worried they won't hatch
, had no movement yet

If the average temperature is low during the incubation, the eggs can be slow to hatch, sometimes by 2 or maybe even 3 days. I've had some hatch 2 days early from the incubator being a little high. Don't get me wrong. It is not a good thing to be off in your incubation temperature, but if it is only 0.5 low, you still have a good chance of getting a pretty good hatch. This will try your patience however. Be strong!

ah thanks for that, ive had two diffedrent attempts at pips now, just very small cracks and small bits of shell off, no actual pierced holes as yet or any rocking, on seperate eggs. whilst im confident the temps are a massive improvement on my last attempt, this new thermostat actual reduces the amps to the heating device, in my case two 40 watt inline bulbs, thus when i open to turn the eggs the temp probes a drop in temp and increases the amount of amps albeit only for as long as it takes to turn the eggs, under a minute for 17 eggs, so when i close the door the temp senses the increase lowers the amps and bingo back to 37.5 within three minutes. its also a still air home made fridebator with no fan. just a large cooking tray to up the humidity i get 70% at lockdown, just wondering how to prevent drowning in shells . i did have 45% p to day 18 ?
