They can take a while - I've heard of some taking 24 hours after first pip....

A few more eggs have pipped but not one chick it out yet. Should i be worried? What is taking them so long?

The first one that pipped, the hole is still small and I can hear chirping.

Hey Rooster congrats. Remember when you are waiting for a birth that you are dealing with Mother nature and she takes her own sweet time LOL

Could be 24 hours or more. Could be 15 minutes. No way to know.

Oh this is so exciting!

I'm dying to start our flock and hatch some eggs, but dh is making me wait a few more months until we move. He doesn't want to have to move our flock.
