day 22 and nothing

thanks guys. I took the egg out and candled it and saw nothing moving, no internal pip. My son and I just took it out and cracked it and there was a perfect little chick complete with beak and nails. Just died I guess. So sad! It would have been a pretty little thing...

Isn't that weird that they get so far and then die? I had 3 in the bator and today is day 23 and on day 18 one looked really ready and the other two looks a little small, but they were moving. And I don't have anything yet

I'm debating on taking one out really quickly tonight, just to see if there's still hope.

Sorry about your chick not making it.

susanhai...was there a lot of fluid in the egg as well as the chick? I checked my 3 that didn't hatch and I think they just didn't lose enough liquid during incubation.

There really wasn't much liquid in the egg. We'll try again... if at first you don't succeed. Thanks for the input!
