Hello, I have a broody silkie with 4 eggs under her. They were due yesterday, none have hatched yet. How long should I wait before getting concerned? TIA

Hi, Have you candled the eggs throughout incubation to make sure there’s development and movement? If you have and they’re still developing, I’d give it till day 25. If nothing happens by then I would toss them because usually nothing happens after day 25. Good luck!

Yes, I candled day 7, 14, and 18. They were all developing. I checked them a few hours ago and when i lifted up the wing of the broody hen to see underneath I saw one move. I think it didn't like the light . I just went out and I'm not sure but I think I heard a peep. I will update with photos if any of them hatch

2 have confirmed hatched. A splash and a blue so far. The hen even got up and took the eggshells to another side of the coop. The babies a re adorable and I will try to get pics as soon as momma becomes mobile For the last remaining eggs - does the same "don't open the incubator (in my case, broody) after day 18" still apply?
