Day 22 Will It Hatch?

First time hatching eggs & first time mama hens. It’s day 22 & we haven’t heard any sign of chirping/pipping yet. Is this what the egg should look like at this point in time?

I've seen quite a bit of air space and thought the egg was a dud but gave it another day...to find a chick in the morning.

Wait until day 24 especially if there is a chance the eggs ever got somewhat chilled.

No I haven't but today I was able to observe the eggs again and saw the chick inside move! Just waiting for them to finally start pipping I guess.

Wonderful news! Sometimes they just need more time. Could mean your temp was a tad low. Something to consider for next time.
