Ball Ground, Ga
we have some under a broody hen and some in the bator, it's day 23 and nothing has happened. First hatch attempt. Temps andhumidity has been fine. ShouldI give it another day or so? Or is it hopeless?

Today was day 23 for me too. I took them all out and candled. Threw one stinky one away, think I have another that will go tomorrow, but I did see movement in one egg and there are a couple others that seem promising. I read somewhere on here that someone had one hatch at 27 days so I'm keeping mine going until 27-28. I'm crossing my fingers big time! Good luck to you!

I give it til day 24 or 25 and here's why. I went to throw out some eggs that I thought were gonners on day 23, got busy, laid them on the counter and came back to them a couple hours later. I started putting them in a plastic bag for the trash and heard peeping. Needless to say I found the one that was peeping and put it back in the bator and it hatched just fine, I have heard some birds don't get that lucky. I hope that helps and I hope they hatch for you. Good luck!

We named our little one trash at first and it turned out to be a really shiney silver Serama, I want to name her disco.
Anyway, I hope you both at least get some to hatch, I will be sending good hatching vibes your way!

Learned something new today. You can't hatch duck eggs under a hen. Darn hen broke them open and was eating the ducklings inside. And no, they weren't bad. She was also starting to peck at the chicken eggs, so I took the eggs and put them in the brooder and stuck the hen in an anti-broody cage.

Oh boy maybe theres still hope its day 25
for my BCmarens and buff orps.
but we had power outages from the storms
and I dont think they will make it..
