Hi I am incubating for the first time In a couple of hours it will be day 23
At about 1 am one of the eggs started chirping. I can still hear it chirping occasionally but it's now 4:30 pm, is there a point at which I should pip the shell so it can get some air?? No peeping from the other 12 eggs yet thanks

Yes, all but one out of 14 were good One of them started peeping last night but still hasn't pipped, is it possible for it to suffocate
Hopefully it internally pipped. That's where the get to the air pocket and breath and make all the noise. I always hear peeping for a day or two before I start seeing pips normally.

Just keep waiting and keep an ear. If after 24 hours you have heard PEEPING you can score a small x in the top of the big end of the egg with a tweezer or small drill bit. Search here on the forum "assisted hatching" before you begin. I used that months ago before I even joined here and it helped .A lot. Once you score the tiny hole you should see and hear chick. Don't be tempted to help. Put her back.

I can already hear peeping, for almost 23 hours now from one of the eggs. At what point if any should I make a hole
