Day 23 Graphic Pics...

Well today is Day 23 and my DH and I decided to pip the eggs and this is what we found. Out of 12 eggs 3 were partially developed and the others nothing but yolk.

The pic is 2 of the eggs that were partially developed. No movement or breathing and the yolks are not absorbed.
I didnt take a pic of the 3rd chick but that one actually had its beak in the air sac and had a smaller yolk but again no breathing or movement.

We are sad and decided to hang up our hats on hatching for awhile.

Amazing pics - I'm very sorry though. Wonder why they would make it only that far? What was your average temp and humidity? I have chickens in the bator for the first time (did button quails last time).

I'm so sorry.........Your temp setting could have been too extreme, sudden and prolonged temp change at time of hatch, insufficient oxygen...Check your thermometer thats it's reading correctly and that the air vents are not completely closed off.......just a few things from the trouble shooting guides...
