So sorryI was so excited for it too
Thankfully my 2 broodies are incubating their own eggs so I have that to look forward to. My rooster actually doing his job has made me happy enough

I read the thread and once I was given the advice on how to tell if they are alive via warm water test.
We had one that moved like a motor boat and the other we thought was dead.
Instead of removing him we continued to encubate and on hatch day he popped out and was strongest of the bunch.
We learned to hatch always 2-3 days beyond hatch date.
Also be careful about helping them pip. Most usually die that you have to do this. Advice we were given was wait 24 hours after first pip. This is about when chick gives out. Then under no circumstances break the membrane. They could bleed to death. Once the shell is fully pipped they can usually get out of the membrane.
To date we've had 100% success with this method. Also be patient.
Again sorry
