Pip the end of the aircell on one and see if it's alive. Use an eyeglass screwdriver or other small instrument and chip the end where you can see inside. If a chick is alive in the aircell,it will cheep, probably. If there is no breathing or movement, go in a bit further and shine a flashlight in there. I never let mine go past Day 22 before checking.
