Day 23 Silkies

5 out 6 silkies hatched here, cute little fuzz butts

It is now day 25, and they are still slowly hatching. What does zip mean, when they are hatching?

that's when you see them make a line of "pips" all in a row and they will rotate around the circumferance of the egg to make it pop off like a lid. i'm happy for you!!!
oh, and once they start zipping, it goes pretty fast then.
