I would do a smaple candling today, honestly. They might be slow starters, but this is a little longer!
When you candle you should look for a definate air sack on one end and everything else should be dark as night...you MIGHT be able to see movement. If you touch your fingers to the eggs, also, you should be able to feel light taps or movement in the shell. If you do, you might want to candle to see which end has the air sac, and make a tiny itsy hole on one end by gently tapping it or scraping it with a sewing needle or fishhook.
If it stinks, they are done for.
Another way to tell is to sniff each egg. If they stink a LOT, toss em. If they smell like a cooking omlette, keep em, and try one of the other methods.
It is definately time to do something to be able to avoid exploded eggs in your bator!
and 98 should not have hurt the eggs, just retarded the development a smidge.
