Day 24 and I've made a hole in the egg

Just went to take pic of it and I've seen more life in a tramps vest just hope the others will start doing something or I have a feeling they will be dead in their shells too 😕 could the humidity of been too high after the 18th day?
How high has the humidity been in the incubator?

I think I just ordered that incubator from Wal-Mart...can't be much worse than hatching under a brooder lamp and having to adjust and monitor it 24/7, can it?
I've hatched eggs in a brooder once. It was challenging, but managed it.

The incubator is too bad, but can malfunction, like my first one did.

At least I know what I can do in a pinch if the incubator malfunctions. Hope it's alright.

From what I've read I think it's hard to get the humidity too high in the last days but I'd like to hear others opinions on this. I found my temperature had been inconsistent when I did my last (first) hatch and that contributed to losses during the final days, malpositioned chicks, and a late hatch (day 23-day 24).

I cover mine with a towel, & use different thermometers, & hygrometers too monitor every part of my incubator.
I don't have too many humidity issues.

I've had the humidity 55-60 from day 1 to 18 then 65-70 there after, I was talking to a mate and he said he had had the best hatch rate with lower humidity throughout incubation

That might be your problem.
First 18 days the humidity is supposed to be lower then on lockdown, & hatch day.
I keep my humidity at around 35-45 percent then boost it to 55-65 percent on lockdown.

Temperature is also a major factor.

I've kept the temp set at 37.6 throughout incubation, do u higher or lower it after day 18 or just leave the same?
