Hi everyone, we are in need is some help! We hatched a dozen or so eggs and 2 didn't hatch. They are on day 24 with zero activity. No pip, no internal pip, no chirping, no movement. They both did pass the water float test with flying colors! In the water there was no movement from them either. When we candles them we see there's definitely chicks in there but no internal pip...basically no activity from them at all.

We have read the "assisted hatching" and tried researching what to do, but still aren't sure what's the best step?

Any help and/or suggestions we are so grateful for!

Thank you!!
Nicole

By "passing the water test" what do you mean? At that stage, passing the water float test would be to see ripples that the chick is still moving inside. No movement = Fail

I'm afraid that they have passed away, so your best bet is to either throw them out or open them up to check for deformities, malpositions, stickiness or a reason why they didn't hatch.

Although congratulations on your great hatch! 22/24 is wonderful, so the two that didn't hatch were probably not meant to make it.
