    Hi everyone,
Iam now on day 24 of a pretty successful hatch. But using a stethescope I checked the other eggs. using this technique I removed the the "empty" eggs but there are still many with live chicks. I can hear them tapping and moving and sometimes even a heart beat...
so how long do I leave them, or should I assist them hatch and give them a chance although they'll probably just die.
    Thanks

Quote:There so much to take into account. How were your temps did they run low, did you put all the eggs in at the sametime? Usaully they say that on day 24 you can check too see and if there are signs of chicks leave them a little longer. As far as helping them out that is clearly your choice. I have followed a few threads here on the BYC of people helping the chicks out. Sometimes they live and sometimes they don't. Good luck !
