Day 27 and there isnt any movement in my duck eggs and one has bubbles in it. Help

Not seeing an internal pip either on both eggs. Today is day 29.

Opened the incubator and the egg smelled faintly. So i inveinvestigated and indeed it had died. Not sure why but it was in alot of luquid. And rusty brown colored.

Both eggs the embryo was dead. Probably at lockdown. Or a few days before. I have 4 more in another incubator that will go on lockdown on the 6th.

It sounds like late quitters. They are very frustrating because you often do not know exactly what happened. Temperature spikes can wipe out a bunch of them but sometimes they just die.

If they are from your flock the things to do are to work on flock health, stable and correct incubator temperature and humidity levels that are good for your place and breeds.

I hope the next hatch is better!

If the other 4 hatch right ill have 7 out of 9 ducklings incubated from my flock. And first time ever hatching and in my incubator. Is it ?

Good. Still disappointing to loose any. Its normal to feel that way i guess. I also hatched 9 out of 10 chicken eggs. I forgot to mention those too
