For what it's worth, the one and only critter I've gotten to hatch was a duck, and it was just over a week ago.

He was due to hatch on the 29th (day 28). He pipped on the 30th (day 29). He hatched on the 1st. (day 31). He was perfectly healthy.

I hope you can be patient. Helping is very likely to NOT help.

If day 28 is Saturday, you might not even see a pip until Saturday. After that, it can be another 2 (possibly 3) days before it hatches out.

Argh, you guys aren't giving me the answers I want!!! LOL.....Both eggs are definately alive, they're jumping all over the place. I'm just really worried that the shells are gonna be too thick, when I crack the duck eggs for eating they're really hard to get through. Okay, must wait till Saturday....

my chicken eggs jumped around for 3 days before pipping and 21 hours till hatching they are trying to get in the right spot don't losse your babies over not being patient i know its hard SIT ON YOUR HANDS haha its called lockdown for a reason good luck

1 has pipped....

Yes the shells are very thick, but they manage to break through. The membrane can be harder for them to get out of than the shell if the humidity is too low.

What do you have your humidity at? And are your vents out for extra oxygen? I think they are supposed to.
I have a little goose trying to get out too. I just read a post about cracking the incubator open a little (watch the humidity though) so i am trying that.

GOOD LUCK!!

The humidity is staying almost the same with it open a little and the little guy seems more active now.
