day 28, only tapping and no wiggling yet

could they possibly have air sack on the side? i have couple of eggs that looks like half half before lock down and the babies are moving inside. i have them all laying flat now.
im gonna see if there is anything when i get home tonight if not i will candle again

shall i mist each time i open the lid to make sure humidity stays up ?

thank you for the reply
You can but with no external pips the babies won’t shrink wrap
You can have saddle shape air cells meaning is runs up the sides
Usually shipped eggs but my broody duck had all her air cells do this and she laid those eggs and they were all normal to start with.
First time broody and young I think she was moving her eggs a little crazy 😆

thank you for your advice
im gonna do that when i get home tonight
is it normal to hear the tap tap tap for a couple of days?
i have only heard one tapping sound so far, but havent seen any movements lol, i was staring at the eggs like i can hatch them with my eyes  to see if there was any wiggling lol

We have all been there thinking we can hatch them with our eyes 😂
I don’t usually hear a tap unless I put it to my ear. But my bator runs louder
Sometimes when I talk to the eggs I can get one to wiggle but not all of them do it
I candle mine a lot so I know exactly when they are moving into position
Shadowing then the internal but once I see the first external pip I leave them be
Not all eggs will hatch day 28
The school that had my eggs had to do lockdown early she went to candle day 23 and she had an internal pip
Day 24 external and day 25 first baby
Day 26 3 more and day 27 the last two
Mine hatched day 28&29
All eggs from the same parents and same incubators. But she did bring hers home as it was a long weekend and she was going out of town so her daughter needed to turn the eggs for her
I think the car ride may have started things earlier

I also candle mine everyday from day 1
I stop turning any eggs that I see babies have got into position even if that’s day 22 you can tell as there will be hardly any light along the it cell and you will see baby pushing on it with shadowing movements.
I have 100% hatch rate and have even had 2 schools and 3 customers also get 100% hatch rate following my advice
The last customer didn’t and she had humidity issues and went by the book of day 25 lockdown and she only hatched 2 out of the 6 and all were moving day 25.
I even had one customer loose power for 13 hours in a winter stork and got all 6 eggs he bought to hatch.
Don’t be afraid to check on your eggs
It’s safe until external pip then they need to be left alone to hatch

i have been candling them almost everyday since day 10 till i put them in lockdown
i think i put them in lock down early as i counted the first 24 hrs as day 1...
i cant get the humidity pass 60% during lock down with towels and sponges in the bator, but i have been misting and the incubator window has moisture build up so i figure it might be okay

i started with 12 eggs, 3 werent fertile, one blood ring at early stage, then i lost 3 during the process ( they slowly turned black inside and two of them turned really liquidy before i threw them out and last one i threw out before lockdown because i havent been seeing any movements for a while)

there are a couple of the eggs that looks like half dark half semi clear and i can see the vein and movements before lockdown so i left them there. now i think about it i think their air sack is in weird postion for some reason ( not shipped eggs, from local farm )

i think im half afraid to candle them, afraid that they are dead. i have two that im pretty sure they are good and lots of movements lots of web red veins, but not quite totally dark yet when i put them in lock down ... im kinda half hoping i will see external pip just one day i look at them or there will be a duck hatched out already lol

gonna have some quiet candling time tonight when my kids go to bed

Just finished candling
I don't think any of them has internally pipped yet actually...
One of them I'm pretty sure is dead.
I can see movements in two eggs for sure
And one of them which was the most active one, I can't see any movement. Still some vein visible and still some space between air sack and the black part.

I'm wondering if I'm dealing with moscovey here as the girl who sold me the eggs said they are mixed breed and she is not sure what it is ( I originally bought goose eggs from her and added some duck eggs to try along but none of the goose eggs were fertile :( )

Here is some pictures.

Pretty sure this one is dead. I don't see any movements at all

This is the one confuses me and sadden me the most. I can't see any movements at all. There are a little bit vein visible but not much and he was beautifully dancing around in the egg before lockdown :(

Shall I throw out the one that lm pretty sure it's dead ?
