Have internal pip. Ugh thought i was ready. Now what? Just wait? Ugh?

Mine will usually take approx. 24 hours after int. pip until they make the ext. pip, if they do not do it in 24hrs. I put in an air hole, so they will not suffocate. After that it can be another 12-48 hrs. until they actually unzip and hatch, I usually start assisting if they have made no progress after 24-36hrs.

Air sack broke 20 hours. Ago no internal pip yet. When should I help???

Breaking into the air cell is the "Internal" pip, breaking thru the shell is the "external" pip. If he/she broke into the air sack/cell 20 hours ago, I would wait no more than 4 more hours. If the shell hasn't been cracked by then make an air hole, this will buy the chick another24-48 hr. to break itself out. Put your air hole in the center of the air cell.

Ok did did it now I will just wait

Let us know in 24 hrs if any progress has been made.

Remember that I am very new to hatching peachicks, but a chick positioned like this has a very slim chance of being able to pip externally and an even slimmer chance of zipping out of the shell. When candled I *couldn't* see it's beak, but I could hear it peeping, so I made a whole to see what was going on.

Here you can see it with it's foot over it's head. Since I saw a little blood I put it back for a few hours.

This is after I waited a few hours, peeled away more shell and moistend the membrane - Note that there are no visible viens.

I am not saying you should help, but if you do you should read this:
