Adding a safety hole before internal pip is not recommended nor is assisting if baby has not tried to internal pip
It’s not ready at all
If it’s at the wrong end you will see a bruise and in that case you would make safety hole in the middle of the bruise then leave it for 24 hours. After that you may see a bigger bruise or a second one and would take just a little more shell giving the beak air but waiting 24-48 to assist
My wrong end baby took 51 hours to hatch and could have stayed in another 2 hours yet as she still had a little yolk. She was only taken out early because of her rapid breathing
She was in a small egg and no room to move at all

Air cells drop before internal pip
Your duckling is doing what is suppose to
Stay patient
My air cells drop down a day or two before internal then you will see shadowing along it as they push into the membrane.
