hello ,

this is my first time that i am candling eggs and i am new to incubation. So i candled the eggs today (day 4) and all i can see is that when i gently turn the eggs in my hand, the egg yolk floats around. Is this normal or the eggs are infetile? the temp was spot on all the time being 99.4-99.7. and humidity 51%

any feedback you be appreciated since i am soooooo exited and worried at the same time....

thank you all

I normally candle on day 7 as by then its quite clear and providing you have a good candler or torch you will see the veining in the egg.

thank you for that, but has anyone candled on day 4 and experienced the same thing?

thank you

this is a cochin egg i candled at the end of day three.

Keep them in for at least 7 days though, as previously stated, you'll def know by then.
Good luck to you.

I have candled at day 3 and day 4 in the past and in some cases you will start to see veining by day 3 but at times you will have late developers that show up later than day 3, this is why its best to wait till day 7 as its a lot clearer as to whether it has developed or not.
