day 5 what should i see?

i know that your supposed to see vains....but all i saw was yolks? is that yolks or is it the baby? first time with this and in a homemade incubator so not sure if any will hatch a few all i could see was spots toss them?

Yes, you should be able to see veins on Day 5. However, if this is your first go-round, then I would leave all the eggs and wait to candle at Day 7-10. On Day 7, the development should be clearly visible, veins and the embryo. Good luck!

ok thanks...i saw a dark spot is that the yolk? or the baby?

Yeah, wait at least till day 7. Brown eggs are even harder to pick out blood vessels, so I just wait and look for some sort of mass
or a dark spot. Then around 14 days I make sure i have an air cell.
