Day 6 - candled

Day six closed to an end at dark today.
I candled.

1st time ever doing that. I used my 4 cell Maglite and it works pretty good.
Report:

4 speckled Hamburg eggs.
- saw veins and embryo in two of four. The other two eggs are so spotty that it was hard to tell.

12 barnyard bantam eggs.
- saw veins and embryo on 10 of 12. I will check again in a couple of days to make sure.

I'm Egg-cited.

Just make sure you wait to toss until at least day 10, if not 14. Sometimes it is just too hard to tell, but by day 14, if the egg is not pretty full, then you know they are no good.
I have some eggs in my bator that are clear on day 13, as they have been all along, but they are staying as long as they don't stink. They make a pretty good heat sink!
