Day 7 candling

Yes, if by day 7 you don't see any growth then they won't hatch. Good luck with your incubation!

I try to be careful making blanket statements because as I stated earlier, I wait until 10-14days because frankly, sometimes my eyesight isn't very good... I didn't mean that if there isn't any growth by the 7th day it would magically appear, I just meant sometimes I give it a day or two and make absolutely sure because I have tossed viable eggs before.

Yesterday was day 10 and candled the eggs again…..all looks good! The air cell is just a little bigger then it was the other day. I didnt make it, I figured I would do day 14 instead. How big should the air cell be???? Mine are about the size of a nickel.

Tomorrow I candle my eggs for day 14….. I did a sneak peak with 2 of my eggs today cause I got a new flashlight. THe air cells have not changed much from day 7!!! I have a forced air incubator, the temp has been a steady 99-100 and I have been keeping the humidity in the 40's. I had the red vent plugs in (well 1) and now have both of them out.

Am I right in my thinking….high humidity = small air cell and low humidity = large air cell. I swear this is what I have read!

Please help!!! I want this hatch to go well!!!!
