You are very early in the incubation period, for me I don't make a call on the eggs till day 10 at the earliest and generally don't till day 14. I am trying to remember, but I don't think I've seen a lot of veining till after day 7. I'd give them some time.

Okay thanks. This evening technically counts as day 8. I'll check again around day 10. So do you think the sec picture might still progress??

The yolk is quite dark which gives me hope. I recently set some of mine and was worrying as eggs I've set previously have been visible from day 3 or 4. Yesterday was day 7 and I'd given up hope, but kept them in there just in case. I've candled today and I can definitely see something that is moving in there, just not very well. I took the egg that the same chicken laid today and compared candling that egg with the ones in the incubator and the yolk colourings are very different. So I'm hopeful

This really helps. Thanks for responding I appreciate it! Yeah the yolk is darker from when I checked last as I think the first picture is an embryo developing so that gave me hope. Fingers crossed.

I've got a few of mine that are dark where I can't really see much.. I have to pretty much cross my fingers and hope they are and they don't explode..lol.. my last batch, I'd candled and watched, i had two of them that I wasn't sure of at all, day 18 came, I put 4 on one side and the 2 that I wasn't certain of on the other, my first one to hatch was out of the I doubt it set. I've got 6 on lock down right now.. I'm expecting hatch to start tomorrow, but I can't tell for sure how they are doing, these at least I could see through the shells. Try your best not to panic, you don't want to be taking the eggs in and out of the incubator a lot.
