Day Old Baby Chicks with retardation

I am incubating Mottled Japanese Bantams and I had one chicken hatch yesterday and he was perfectly fine except his shell was a little sticky. Another one hatched today and he lays of his back and kicks his legs. When I roll him over on his belly he just lays there. He also picks up his head and looks strait up.

Can anyone help me this is my first time hatching chicks.

I dont know if they are retarded and what can I do to fix this from happening in the future.

What is the temperature? I had some do that when I took them out bator and put in brooder because my temp was too high.

the temp fluctuates a little but it is mostly at 99.5. It is an old incubator could that be the problem?

I'm no expert but that shouldn't make a difference unless it has some type of disease or mold in it. As long as you cleaned it I wouldn't think that would be a problem. Hope you the best of luck sorry I didn't know anymore to tell you.

If you ever have one get turned over like that and you aren't able to immediately get them turned back correclty, they are never quite right. The ones that I have ever had to do this ended having to be culled.
