We are selling purebred Black Copper Marans chicks 100% Wade Jeane lines, closed flock, AI clean and NPIP certified. This listing is for 15+ day old chicks hatching 5-19 shipping Express 5-20 this coming Monday. These are sold straight run, and we can calculate shipping depending on your zip. They will be shipped in the standard chick box witha a grass mat and warmer, and I will ship to any state within the continental US where my NPIP and AI certification is the only paperwork needed.

Price is $5 each plus shipping.

To answer a question as to how dark our eggs are...I think they're averaging around 5 or 6 with maybe some lighter and darker. I'm no expert on the color question, so I took a pic of the last two days eggs layed to put here. This photo was taken on a cloudy day without flash, and with a white grocery store egg for contrast. The photo wasn't doctored or adjusted in any way, and I didn't hand-pick the eggs for darker ones--this is the full spectrum with all the eggs my flock produced over the last two days.

So the chicks hatching on the 19th have sold--thank you Lenore! However, we have chicks hatching the 27th, for shipment on the 28th to make allowance for Memorial Day. Same 15+, just a week later. Let me know if you'd like to buy that batch, and also if you want a later week as most the rest the summer I'll only be hatching to order. And thanks for your interest!

Wow, so much activity and love for these chicks! You make my hens proud. The May 27th hatch has also sold, and perhaps the June 2nd. If anyone else would like chicks please go ahead and post here and I'll start eggs as the weeks for their hatching are spoken for. However, I'd rather not take any more payments until I get two weeks out from each hatch, just in case we run into a snag somewhere along the line or my girls stop laying for any reason.

So, weeks that can be spoken for here are:
June 9th
June 16th
NOT June 27th--sorry, I won't be able to ship that week
June 30th

As more of my pullets attract the eye of the boys I may have larger hatches and be able to send orders of 20+, 25+ or two orders in one week, so please also specify how many chicks you would like, starting from a minimum order of 15+. And thank you so much for your interest!

Alwayswantchics, the only way I could send chicks to you is if you went with friends or ordered other chicks (we also have silkies and guineas in a variety of colors) so they still added up to at least 15. Actually, if guineas and silkies were filling out the order, they'd need to add up to 20 since they are smaller and need more buddies to stay warm. I can't send just a few chicks that far by themselves and have them arrive alive.

The June 9th hatch is sold, and with trips in June and then the week of July Fourth (when chicks could get stranded) I expect not to ship any other chicks until the week of July 14th.
