i had a batch of lf blk cochin chicks hatch yesterday and today. i was taking a closer look at them and noticed one of the chicks feet looked different. it long middle toes on each foot is fused and curled around the tip of the outside toe. the deformity is bi-lateral. other than not looking like a pure blk cochin chick (bought the eggs on ebay), the chick looks fine.
my question is can this deformity be fixed? is this a result of too high bator temps or genetics?
