Mum wont let chcik back underneath her, chicks peeping like mad hasn't gone to the drinking water or crumb is that normal? I put the chick under mum but she pushed her back out. Please help this is my first and only chick should I take her away, evenings setting in and its getting cold.

Yes take the chick from the hen. Set up a brooder in a draft free area. Make sure the temps are at about 95 degress, and give her water and chick starter. Dip her beak tip in the water, then let her go so she can drink, then show her the food. I believe chicks can survive on their absorbed eggyolk for up to 72 hours but she should be ok without food or water for the first 24 hours.
Since shes alone put in a stuffed animal or a clean featherduster in the brooder so she can cuddle with it. But be prepaired that the hen may have rejected her because there is something wrong with her, so she may not survive despite your best effort. Or your hen just doesnt want to be mom.

This is what I would do in your situation but hopefully others will advise. Please keep us updated. Good luck and enjoy your new fuzzy!
