I want to make the right choice for the chick. First time letting a broody chick hatch chicks. The first two hatched fine Monday. 3 hatched yesterday, one died, one has curled toes and somehow got removed from the nest, otherwise seems healthy. The last chick I think got trampled by mama, it seems very weak, isn't opening it's eyes and has an umbilical hernia. Can chicks come back from this with extra care or am I delaying the inevitable? We got 6 chicks from a feed store last year (first timers) and they never had any issues, so I just want some opinions before I make the permanent decision.
