I have one of my keets that just hatched today and after several hours it can’t stand - it just wobbles from side to side. What could this be and is it treatable?

How's the keet doing today? Hatching is an exhausting process and sometimes the hatchling needs time to get strong enough to stand properly. Hopefully, that was the case with your keet.
Unfortunately I ended up having to put it down. It would not eat or drink, could barely hold its head up 36 hours after hatch, couldn’t sit/stand/walk and the other keets kept trampling it 😢. I had another keet that fell asleep away from the heat lamp and I thought it wasn’t going to make it but I was able to warm it back up and it’s running around with the rest now 😃 Lots of ups and downs with farm animals, no doubt about that. There are still a few eggs in the incubator but I’ve got 12 chicks and 13 keets so far from my first round with the incubator. (I added the chicken eggs at day 7)

Sorry to hear it. Having raised keets, myself, I know how creative they are at finding ways to kill themselves. 😕 Do you keep a vitamin supplement like Poultry Nutri-Drench on hand? If you don't, you may want to consider it because it can really help in cases where hatchlings are very weak.

They will keep you on your toes, for sure. Best of luck with your hatchlings!

Thank you! I think we ran out of the nutridrench but I did put acv in their water to give them something of a boost… we didn’t have as many hatch as we had hoped of the guinea eggs so we’ll probably do another round. 10 of these ones were being hatched for some friends so we aren’t keeping them.
