Unfortunately I ended up having to put it down. It would not eat or drink, could barely hold its head up 36 hours after hatch, couldn’t sit/stand/walk and the other keets kept trampling itHow's the keet doing today? Hatching is an exhausting process and sometimes the hatchling needs time to get strong enough to stand properly. Hopefully, that was the case with your keet.
Thank you! I think we ran out of the nutridrench but I did put acv in their water to give them something of a boost… we didn’t have as many hatch as we had hoped of the guinea eggs so we’ll probably do another round. 10 of these ones were being hatched for some friends so we aren’t keeping them.Sorry to hear it. Having raised keets, myself, I know how creative they are at finding ways to kill themselves.Do you keep a vitamin supplement like Poultry Nutri-Drench on hand? If you don't, you may want to consider it because it can really help in cases where hatchlings are very weak.
They will keep you on your toes, for sure. Best of luck with your hatchlings!
