Hey, all So I recently hatched some crested cream legbar and had a huge surprise! A single, solid white little chick. Upon research I’ve found that they are called sport legbar or frosted, but that’s all I’ve found. I’m wondering if anyone knows anymore about these and or what they’re worth?

Yes...I know about the White Legbars. A sport is something that is a different color than either parent, so if you breed two cream legbars together and get a white, it is a "sport" white. On the other hand if you breed two white together and get a white it is NOT a sport white, but just a white. Many people in the USA are working on breeding White Legbar. They have specific goals for the white legbars color and after breeding white to white for many generation they are able to improve on their goals. So a sport white is starting point but white on white breeding is the eventual goal for people breeding white legbars.

The "Frost" white is a hobby names used by some of the hatcheries for the white legbars. The hatcheries don't specify if they are giving you a white legbar or a sport white. They just throw everything in under the name "Frost" white.

The value of a white Legbars (White, Sport, or Frost) is the same as he value of a Cream Legbar.

Here are some of mine. They were all Sport Whites.

Lovely!

Are you sure it was a frosted Legbar because they tend to be a light golden color as a baby chick not all white?
